Meet Dr. Hersey

Dr. Stuart Hersey is a proud South Hill native who graduated from Rogers High School in Puyallup. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Washington School of Dentistry in 1994. He then completed a hospital-based General Practice Residency at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut in 1995. Driven by a passion for treating children, Dr. Hersey returned to the University of Washington, where he received his Master of Science in Pediatric Dentistry in 1997.

With decades of experience serving the dental needs of children, Dr. Hersey remains actively engaged in the professional community. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Washington State Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Pierce County Dental Society, where he currently serves on the board and is a past president.

Dr. Hersey is deeply committed to creating a welcoming and positive dental experience for children and their families. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Dayna, and their two sons, Zachary and Ryan. A lifelong learner and creative tinkerer, Dr. Hersey's hobbies include building and piloting remote-controlled airplanes, boats, cars, trucks, and drones. He also enjoys 3D printing, mead making, gardening, and crafting concrete figurines.
